Andrea Peterson, MTA, CMP Fellow, leads ASAP Meetings & Events as President/CEO. Her years as a Corporate Special Events & Meeting Manager for General Electric and the Royal Bank of Canada, along with her long-term professional leadership position with MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) International, afford her a wealth of experience to ensure you exceed your goals and achieve glowing results in your meetings and events endeavors. Her incredible aptitude to assess the situation and provide results-oriented solutions stems from many years working on all types of meetings, conferences and special events.
In 2011 she achieved the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation, the most recognized in the industry. Additionally she achieved a Master of Tourism Administration in Events & Meetings Management from The George Washington University in 2012, leading to a teaching role within the School of Hospitality at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Here she worked with her peers to create MSU's first Bachelor of Science Degree in Events & Meetings Management, including her signature course, “Event Catering Strategies,” ensuring focused knowledge and rigor in educating the future generation of event planners.
Recently Andrea was selected by the Events Industry Council as a member of their inaugural class of CMP Fellows, a prestigious honor recognizing tenured CMPs who have made significant advancements in their careers, as well as significant contributions through service and education to the meetings and events industry.
